The Octagonal Bezel Inherited from the First G-SHOCK is Now Metal. Four "GM-2100" and Three "GMS-2100" Models Released.

G-SHOCK is releasing four "GM-2100" models and three "GMS-2100" models on Saturday, August 21, 2021. The GM-2100 series is based on the popular "GA-2100," known for its octagonal form and simple design, but features a metal bezel for a more stylish finish. The GMS-2100 series is based on the "GMA-S2100," which prioritizes a smaller and thinner profile, and also incorporates a metal bezel.

Stylish Models with Refined Exterior and Wearability

The "GA-2100," released in 2019, is a digital-analog combination model that inherits the concept of the first G-SHOCK, "DW-5000C," by stripping away excess elements and achieving a thinner profile. Its distinctive octagonal shape and simple design have made it a globally popular model.
The new "GM-2100" retains the simple, slim form of the "GA-2100" but adopts a newly forged metal bezel, resulting in a sharper design.

The octagonal bezel, inherited from the original, features a combination of hairline finishing on the circumference and mirror finishing on the bevels, showcasing the unique beauty of metal. The colors are IP-coated in silver, blue-gray, and dark gray, accentuating the metallic texture and enhancing the stylishness. The dial colors utilize new navy, green, and red vapor deposition for attractive, metallic hues. The strap, featuring a texture where the checker pattern gradually changes, is paired to match the face design, creating a sharp and sophisticated look.

The "GM-S2100" is based on the "GMA-S2100," which was meticulously designed to be smaller and thinner to fit any occasion. It features a hard stainless steel material for the bezel cover, enhancing its texture. Hairline finishing along the circumference of the dial subtly expresses the nuanced shades of the bezel's IP coating. The flat dial also features vapor deposition, contributing to its stylish impression.
Furthermore, the indexes are mirror-finished, adding a touch of brilliance. While maintaining the core concept inherited from the original, this solid yet fashionable watch pursues quality as a timepiece, refining its exterior and wearability.
