Three New Models in the Globemaster Annual Calendar Collection, Inheriting a Classical Design with Elegant New Colors
Three new colors—green, burgundy, and gold—have been added to OMEGA's "Globemaster Annual Calendar" collection. The facets of the distinctive 12-sided "pie-pan" dial are marked with each month, reflecting the annual calendar function, expressing a sophisticated presence while inheriting a classical style.
Inheriting Familiar Classical Details, Yet Presenting a Sophisticated Presence
The Globemaster series first appeared in 2015 as the world's first Master Chronometer-certified collection. In 2021, coinciding with the arrival of winter, OMEGA has added three new "Globemaster Annual Calendar" models. The new models are attractive for their design that follows the characteristic classical style of the Globemaster, making them perfect for pairing with layered knits or tailored suits.
All new models feature a 41mm case diameter and retain familiar details for OMEGA fans, such as the fluted bezel and the "pie-pan" dial inspired by the first "Constellation" watch released in 1952. Each of the 12 facets is elegantly marked with a month, and the center of the scratch-resistant sapphire crystal case back is adorned with an observatory medallion. This represents the numerous precision records OMEGA set in the early 20th century.
The stainless steel model with a sun-brushed green dial features 18K white gold for the faceted hands, OMEGA logo, indices, and the Constellation star. In addition to a green alligator leather strap, this model is equipped with a tungsten carbide bezel for enhanced strength and durability. The movement is the OMEGA Co-Axial Master Chronometer Annual Calendar Caliber 8922.
The vibrant model with a sun-brushed burgundy dial features a stainless steel case with a polished bezel made of 18K Sedna™ gold, OMEGA's proprietary red gold alloy. This gold is also used for details such as the crown, faceted hands, OMEGA logo, indices, and the Constellation star. A burgundy alligator strap further enhances its design, and like the green model, it is equipped with the OMEGA Co-Axial Master Chronometer Annual Calendar Caliber 8922.
The model with a gold dial uses 18K Sedna™ gold for the case and polished bezel, with the inscription "Au750" on the dial. While 18K Sedna™ gold is also used for the OMEGA logo and the Constellation star, the indices feature onyx set in Sedna™ gold. Furthermore, in a first for OMEGA, onyx is also used for the hour and minute hands. Complementing the onyx, a glossy black alligator leather strap is included, and the watch is powered by the OMEGA Co-Axial Master Chronometer Annual Calendar Caliber 8923. All three models come with a five-year warranty and a Master Chronometer certification card, and are scheduled for release starting January 2021.
