A. Lange & Söhne has expanded its Odysseus collection with a new model featuring an 18K white gold case paired with a rubber or leather strap.

Outsize Date and Sporty Design Take Center Stage

The Odysseus, A. Lange & Söhne's product family, welcomes a new 18K white gold model with an integrated strap in either leather or rubber. This timepiece, blending lightness with elegance and featuring a large date and day display, is housed in a 12-bar water-resistant case with a sculpted grey dial.

Unveiled on October 24, 2019, exactly 25 years after Walter Lange and Günter Blümlein presented the first collection of the brand's revival, this watch was developed for individuals with active lifestyles who seek a timepiece that can be worn even in situations where a traditional mechanical watch might typically be removed. This concept is embodied by its sporty, three-dimensional design.

The new model features a 40.5mm white gold case paired with a grey dial. The white gold hands and grooved hour-track indices ensure legibility against the deep background. The numerals of the outsize date and the large day display appear in white on the grey surface. The 2.4mm numerals and letters remain readable even in low light, and the hour and minute hands, along with the hour markers, are luminescent. Concentric patterns engraved on the background of the hour markers and the small seconds track add depth to the dial. In contrast, the main dial and sub-dial interiors have a matte, granular finish.

A silver-colored ring, which slopes upwards towards the outside and surrounds the dial, is printed with minute markers, with the red number 60 serving as a subtle accent. For this model, the integrated strap can be chosen from hand-stitched leather or black rubber. The rubber strap features internal air ducts for enhanced wearing comfort.
