The Chronograph with Distinctive Lug Design, Inspired by Cow Horns, Returns
VACHERON CONSTANTIN's legendary timepiece, the 'Cornes de Vache,' is reborn in stainless steel as the 'Historiques Cornes de Vache 1955.' It will be released in October 2019.

The 'Cornes de Vache,' VACHERON CONSTANTIN's first waterproof chronograph introduced in 1955 and named for its distinctive cow horn-like lugs, has been revived as the 'Historiques Cornes de Vache 1955,' now featuring a stainless steel case.
The 'Historiques' collection was established in 2006 with the desire to give concrete reality to VACHERON CONSTANTIN's rich heritage. Since then, various models such as the 'American 1921' and 'Extra Flat 1955' have been brought back to life.
And in 2019, it is the revival of the 'Cornes de Vache.' While faithfully reproducing the original design, it is crafted to the latest standards of watchmaking, with the case diameter enlarged to 38.5mm. The hand-wound chronograph movement is equipped with Caliber 1142. The velvet-finished grey opaline dial features two-counter sub-dials decorated with a snail pattern, distinguished by a 60-second scale highlighted in white.
The strap is made of dark brown calfskin leather with a patinated finish. This is by Serapian, a leather goods maison from Milan, Italy. This marks their first collaboration with VACHERON CONSTANTIN.
With its traditional design featuring two pushers and two sub-dials for the 30-minute counter and small seconds, the 'Cornes de Vache' is a masterpiece that expresses VACHERON CONSTANTIN's identity through its unique lug form. The original style is now vividly revived.
