The Hour Club, a special platform for Vacheron Constantin watch owners, has launched a service to issue blockchain-based digital certificates of authenticity for all Vacheron Constantin timepieces.

In January 2022, The Hour Club, Vacheron Constantin’s exclusive owner's website, launched its digital certificate of ownership service based on blockchain technology. This technology protects information by tracking a watch's lifecycle, sharing and proving ownership, and digitizing and encrypting the watch's unique characteristics. Furthermore, owners who purchased a watch between January 2020 and January 2022 can apply for an extended six-year warranty. Warranty extensions will also be automatically applied to watches purchased after January 2022, provided they agree to the terms and conditions.

From 2022, The Hour Club is poised to leap into future technology with digital technology and blockchain, applicable to all collections except Les Collectionneurs. Vacheron Constantin watch owners, whether recent purchasers or long-time custodians, can obtain a digital certificate of authenticity after registering on the website and entering the watch's serial number engraved on the case back, or by scanning the QR code on the new warranty card. Information about the watch is protected by encryption, serving as proof of traceability and the authenticity of genuine Vacheron Constantin timepieces.

The Hour Club has previously offered Vacheron Constantin's unique content and exclusive member-only features. It also provides priority registration for Vacheron Constantin events and a community space called "the Golden Book" where members can chat with each other and upload photos. With the introduction of blockchain technology, further offers and services are expected to be rolled out.

Among the digitization of all information pertaining to each watch, data related to the Poinçon de Genève, which most Vacheron Constantin watches acquire, is considered particularly important. Furthermore, in the near future, maintenance and repairs are also expected to become part of a "roadmap" accompanying the entire lifecycle of individual timepieces. Blockchain guarantees optimal security for watch owners, ensuring product authenticity, preventing counterfeits, proving traceability, and fostering a special relationship through information exchange and exclusive content provision between Vacheron Constantin and its owners.
