From the MR-G (M-R-G) series, G-SHOCK's top-tier shock-resistant watch line, two models of the MRG-B5000, which marks the first time the square design of the original model is adopted in this series, will be available starting Saturday, March 12, 2022.

The MRG-B5000 inherits the square design of the first G-SHOCK, the DW-5000C, released in 1983. Each part, crafted from advanced materials, undergoes masterful polishing to achieve a refined brilliance and stately presence. A new "Multi-Guard Structure" was developed to polish even the fine surfaces of the bezel. This structure incorporates shock-absorbing components within the 25-part bezel, ensuring shock resistance.

This allows for meticulous polishing of every corner of the textured bezel, part by part, resulting in a beautiful aesthetic. The bracelet employs a structure where separate pins are embedded into circular holes on the surface, enabling fine polishing for a clean finish.

Furthermore, attention has been paid not only to polishing but also to materials, utilizing advanced Japanese-developed materials. The bezel's top features "COBARION," a cobalt-chrome alloy with hardness approximately four times that of pure titanium and a luster comparable to platinum. The bracelet material uses "DAT55G," a titanium alloy with hardness approximately three times that of pure titanium and excellent workability. These choices ensure resistance to scratches and maintain the mirror-like beauty for a long time. Through masterful polishing and carefully selected materials, these models are finished to be worthy of the top-tier series that perfects the original G-SHOCK's square design.

In terms of functionality, in addition to standard radio wave reception, the mobile link function, which connects with the dedicated "CASIO WATCHES" app, automatically corrects the time. It also features a solar charging system and a high-brightness LED light, offering excellent practicality. Available in two colors, black and silver, these models are produced on the "Premium Production Line" at Yamagata Casio, the same mother factory that assembles other MR-G series models.
