In 2020, the year CITIZEN released the world's first titanium wristwatch 50 years prior, the brand launched the "SATELLITE WAVE GPS F950" as a flagship model commemorating 50 years of titanium technology, with a worldwide limited edition of 550 units. Additionally, four models with space-inspired designs were released in limited quantities from the "Cosmic Blue Collection" across three brands: ATTESA, EXCEED, and xC.

In 1970, CITIZEN launched the world's first wristwatch using titanium, a material noted for its potential in space development, and in 2020, celebrated the 50th anniversary of its debut. While titanium offers numerous advantages as a watch material, its high viscosity made it difficult to process, and its soft surface was prone to scratches compared to stainless steel. CITIZEN overcame these challenges, and in 2000, introduced watches featuring "Super Titanium™," CITIZEN's proprietary material, which boasts approximately five times the surface hardness of stainless steel and allows for a beautiful, smooth mirror finish.

Marking 50 years since the birth of the world's first titanium wristwatch, CITIZEN released the "SATELLITE WAVE GPS F950" as a flagship model commemorating 50 years of titanium technology, representing the culmination of its titanium processing expertise. This piece inherits the "space" design concept from the 2014 "Satellite Wave F100" and the 2015 "Satellite Wave GPS F900," while further expressing the evolution of titanium through CITIZEN's proprietary titanium processing techniques. The case and bracelet feature sharp, linear edges that form three-dimensional surfaces, creating a sculptural beauty with striking contrasts of light and shadow.

The black dial, with its layered structure of six components, evokes the depth of infinite cosmic space. The case is crafted from two parts, each treated with CITIZEN's proprietary surface hardening technologies, "Duratect DLC" and "Duratect Sakura Pink," combined to achieve an elegant aesthetic.

The movement is the F950, CITIZEN's top-tier Eco-Drive GPS satellite-controlled watch movement. Capable of receiving time signals in as little as three seconds, the fastest in the world for GPS satellite radio wave reception, it also features a high-speed twin-coil motor for remarkably swift hand movements. It takes less than one second to move the hands a full hour in either direction, allowing for a seamless and rapid experience from reception to correction.

Furthermore, four limited edition models from the "Cosmic Blue Collection," inspired by space, will be released across three brands: ATTESA, EXCEED, and xC. This collection features Duratect DLC processing on the case and band, with dials unified in a cosmic blue hue. Each model offers a distinct expression of its brand's identity through variations in case and band finishing and dial design.

The CITIZEN ATTESA "Eco-Drive GPS Satellite Wave Double Direct Flight" expresses the vastness of space with a blue and deep navy gradient on its dial. The subtle gold accents on the sub-dial, second hand, and indices evoke the sparkle of distant stars. Similarly, the CITIZEN ATTESA "Eco-Drive Radio-Controlled Watch Direct Flight" depicts the depth of the galaxy through a dial gradient and the shimmer of stars rendered with glitter.

The CITIZEN EXCEED "Eco-Drive Radio-Controlled Watch" features a gold-colored rim around the sapphire crystal, representing the ecliptic light. A central radial pattern and subtly sparkling glitter create a mystical beauty. The case and bracelet combine hairline and mirror finishes for an elegant look befitting the EXCEED line.

The CITIZEN xC "Eco-Drive Radio-Controlled Watch Titania Happy Flight" is the first model in the series to feature Duratect DLC processing on both the case and bracelet. Its lustrous black finish, combined with a radial pattern on the dial and multi-layered stardust patterns, emits a deep, delicate sparkle. Lab-grown diamonds at the 6 and 12 o'clock indices add a touch of glamour.
