G-SHOCK Releases Three Models of its First Wear OS by Google Smartwatch
From G-SHOCK's sports line G-SQUAD, which supports sports, the "G-SQUAD PRO" smartwatch equipped with Wear OS by Google, model "GSW-H1000," which features functions and specifications compatible with 15 types of activities and 24 types of indoor workouts, will be released on Saturday, May 15, 2021.

A Tough Watch Packed with Diverse Functions to Support Your Sports
The "G-SQUAD PRO" "GSW-H1000" is G-SHOCK's first smartwatch to feature Wear OS by Google. While maintaining toughness with shock-resistant construction and 20-bar water resistance, it supports 15 types of activities and 24 types of indoor workouts, making it suitable for a wide range of scenes, from running, road biking, and swimming to extreme sports like surfing and snowboarding.
In terms of functionality, it is equipped with an optical sensor capable of heart rate measurement, as well as sensors for compass, altitude/barometric pressure, acceleration, and gyro, plus GPS. It can measure data such as running route, distance, and speed, supporting your activities. Additionally, you can add up to eight custom indoor workout types.
The display utilizes a dual-layer structure, combining a color LCD that vividly shows maps and measurement data with a monochrome LCD suitable for always-on displays like the time. Information can be customized in three tiers (top, middle, bottom) depending on the use case, allowing for easy at-a-glance comprehension of multiple data points. In addition to digital displays, analog watch faces are also available, offering choices to suit any occasion.
Furthermore, it features G-SHOCK's unique shock-resistant structure and water resistance, maintaining glass thickness for 20-bar water resistance while also supporting smooth touchscreen operations. The case back is made of corrosion-resistant titanium, with a titanium carbide treatment enhancing abrasion resistance. Powered by Wear OS by Google, it supports Google Assistant and various notifications such as emails and phone calls. Equipped with a microphone and charging terminal, it allows access to a variety of Google app services, including Google Play Music™, Google Fit™, and Google Maps™.
Additionally, by managing data with the dedicated smartphone app "G-SHOCK MOVE," users can easily track various logs useful for training, such as activity history, analysis, and progress checks, all within the app. The app's new "Sensor Overlay" feature allows users to create visuals by overlaying measurement data onto videos and still images captured during activity tracking, which can then be shared on social media. Connecting with the optional motion sensor "CMT-S20R-AS" enables running form analysis. During runs, running metrics analyzed by the motion sensor are displayed in real-time on the watch, and the measured data can be transferred to the Wear OS by Google app "Runmetrix" (scheduled for release in June 2021) for form analysis, helping users identify areas for improvement and enhance training quality.
The strap is made of soft urethane material, balancing flexibility and durability, with parts adopted between the band and case to enhance fit, ensuring excellent usability.
