LV enters the arena of high-tech materials and haute horlogerie, the hottest battleground today, with this model.
The presence of the Tambour series is bound to be elevated another notch with the arrival of this model.

At the Louis Vuitton High Watchmaking Event held in Gstaad, Switzerland, in March 2020, the new "Tambour Curve Flying Tourbillon "Poinçon de Genève"" was unveiled. It is a high-tech watch that fuses cutting-edge technology with traditional haute horlogerie expertise.

A Geneva Seal Certified Model Proving the Maison's Excellence

The new "Tambour Curve Flying Tourbillon "Poinçon de Genève"" was born from a futuristic, more technical interpretation of Louis Vuitton's "Tambour" watch. It is a masculine model featuring a flying tourbillon function in a light, openworked design.
Every detail, from the caliber to the materials, case, strap, and folding buckle, has been newly designed and developed. The Geneva Seal "Poinçon de Genève" is applied at the 6 o'clock position.
The case, inspired by the design of the Möbius strip, features an elongated shape that further stretches the existing "Tambour" case. Viewed from the side, it draws a continuous curve from one lug to the other, and when viewed from above, it appears circular. The case fits perfectly to the natural curve of the wrist.
In line with the timepiece's avant-garde graphic approach, the watchmakers at "La Fabrique du Temps Louis Vuitton" created a dynamic structure that merges cutting-edge technology with traditional haute horlogerie expertise.
The case uses ultra-lightweight, highly durable high-tech materials used in the aerospace industry. Hence, this watch, also called the "flying watch," features Carbon Stratum® developed exclusively for Louis Vuitton on its outer case.
This is a composite material created by layering over 100 sheets of various carbon materials randomly. After compression under controlled temperature, the stabilized, ultra-rigid material is polished using a next-generation multi-axis machine. The soft yet powerful curves that make this model unique emerge during this process.
Once finished, the carbon overlay is fitted onto a Grade 5 titanium base, and finally, the finely machined lugs and extruded titanium inner case are set into the Carbon Stratum® case, completing a perfectly unified timepiece.
The mechanical movement features an 80-hour power reserve, a tourbillon, and a regulator display. Within the geometric openworked structure, finished by the watchmakers at "La Fabrique du Temps Louis Vuitton" from design to manufacturing, the titanium tourbillon carriage is particularly striking.
The Maison's signature initials, "L" and "V," are masterfully expressed within the openwork design.
