A New Series That Plays Tradition and Innovation
RAYMOND WEIL was founded in Geneva, Switzerland, in 1976 by watchmaker Raymond Weil. Aiming to revive Switzerland's traditional mechanical watch industry, which was in crisis due to the quartz shock, the family-run business began with a musical family at its helm. Currently, the third generation, Elie Bernheim, serves as CEO.
With "Music & Art" as its concept, the brand adheres to the principle of offering high-quality watches at accessible prices. It is also known for its partnerships with world-renowned artists such as The Beatles, Bob Marley, and Jean-Michel Basquiat.
"Toccata" is a musical term for a piece that showcases the performer's virtuosity in a brilliant manner. Since its debut in 2014, it has been favored by fans worldwide for its simple, timeless design and excellent practicality. The new "Toccata Heritage" merges contemporary sensibility with craftsmanship while inheriting its established elegance.
Notably, it features a manual-winding movement, allowing for a full appreciation of the warmth of mechanical watchmaking. The sensation of winding the crown yourself and the intricate movements visible through the exhibition case back enhance the joy of ownership and foster a sense of unity between the watch and its wearer.
The dial features a simple two-hand design displaying only the hours and minutes. This minimalist composition, stripped of ornamentation, harmonizes with the classic oval case, exuding an elegant impression. Visibility is enhanced by polished applied indices and the extremely tight clearance between the dial and hands.
The case is crafted from stainless steel in a relatively rare oval shape in the watch market. Its slim profile, with an exquisitely calculated ratio between the long and short sides, and the gentle curve of the lugs create a soft design reminiscent of vintage watches. This design ensures a comfortable fit that contours to the wrist.
Three color variations are available: a warm copper, a subdued old silver, and a deep blue. The sunray finish on each color creates a dynamic play of light, offering a different impression under everyday lighting.
The release of a model named "Heritage" by RAYMOND WEIL, as it approaches its 50th anniversary, signifies the brand's determination to carry forward its watchmaking expertise, passion for music, and the pride of an independent brand built on family management, into the next fifty years.
