From the shock-resistant "G-SHOCK" watch series, the "MT-G" line, which fuses metal and resin, welcomes a new model: the "MTG-B2000PH." Designed with the legendary "Blue Phoenix" as its motif, it features a rainbow IP coating on the bezel and case, and will be released on Friday, May 21, 2021.

"G-SHOCK" has consistently pursued new expressions by combining color, material, and finish (CMF). Even within its popular metal series, the brand utilizes techniques such as IP coating and laser engraving, along with new materials, to create unique designs that are distinctly "G-SHOCK."

The new "MTG-B2000PH" takes the "Blue Phoenix," said to herald good fortune, as its design motif. This is expressed through a rainbow IP-coated bezel and case, and a multi-colored dial. Leveraging the structure where the bezel and case are separate components, a light blue IP, reminiscent of high-temperature flames, is applied first. Then, a red-to-yellow gradient is layered onto the bezel horizontally and the case vertically, achieving a mystical color scheme where multiple hues intersect.

Because the rainbow IP coating has a different color nuance for each piece, every watch has a unique finish. The dial is accented with multi-colors such as pink and orange, while the strap uses navy skeleton material to evoke the splendor of the phoenix.

In terms of functionality, in addition to standard radio wave reception, it automatically corrects the time when near a smartphone via a dedicated app. When traveling across time zones, it can switch to the local time without button operation, offering superior convenience.
