Introducing the first small-seconds model in the "Eco-Drive One," a timepiece that stands out with its overwhelming thinness and exceptional comfort.
Citizen will launch three new classic and elegant models, featuring the brand's first-ever small-seconds complication, from the "Citizen Eco-Drive One" collection. This collection is renowned for its beauty achieved by stripping everything down, powered by the world's thinnest 1mm thick light-powered Eco-Drive movement. The launch date is Tuesday, January 11, 2022.

The "Eco-Drive One," equipped with the world's thinnest analog light-powered movement, now introduces three new models featuring a small-seconds complication while maintaining the movement's remarkable 1mm thinness.
The exterior boasts a classic and elegant design that highlights the small-seconds subdial. The compact 36.6mm case is rounded at the sides, and the case back is curved to ensure a more comfortable fit.
The black dial "AQ5010-01E" and the blue dial "AQ5010-01L," a limited edition for select retailers, feature a sunray pattern. The white dial "AQ5012-14A" utilizes Japanese paper for its dial, a first for the "Eco-Drive One" collection. This paper imparts a beautiful whiteness and an unprecedented texture.
All three models are paired with alligator leather straps, contributing to the overall classic and elegant aesthetic of the watches. The stainless steel cases are treated with Citizen's proprietary Duratect surface hardening technology, enhancing their scratch resistance. The "AQ5010-01E" and "AQ5010-01L" feature a bright and clear Duratect Platinum coating, while the "AQ5012-14A" is finished with a beautiful rose gold-toned Duratect Pink coating.
All models feature a small-seconds subdial at the 6 o'clock position and applied indices for the first time in the series, exuding a simple yet high-quality feel. The movement achieves its world-leading thinness by fundamentally rethinking the structure and processing methods to accommodate components within the limited 1mm space. Years of dedication to low power consumption allow it to operate for seven months on a full charge while maintaining its slim profile.
