BAUME & MERCIER unveils the Hampton "Homage to Pierre Soulages," a unique and innovative timepiece paying tribute to Pierre Soulages, one of the great masters renowned for his exploration of "black." This limited edition, with only 102 pieces produced, is made to order, reflecting Soulages' age of 102.

Painter Pierre Soulages is a leading figure in modern and abstract art. He is known as the "Master of Black" and is now 102 years old.

His artwork consistently explores the relationship between darkness and light, creating creative and passionate works that attracted 500,000 visitors to a retrospective exhibition in Paris. The Hampton "Homage to Pierre Soulages," born from this collaboration with such a remarkable artist, is produced in a limited edition of 102 pieces, corresponding to his age.
This piece expresses the commanding power of black, as seen in Soulages' works, across the entire watch. The stainless steel case, treated with DLC coating, is paired with a black alligator leather strap, merging the contrasts of black, the subtle nuances of matte, semi-matte, and glossy finishes, and diffused layers. The diverse expressions and textures of Soulages' paintings are captured throughout the watch.
