Jaeger-LeCoultre unveiled its new "Master Grand Tradition Tourbillon Céleste," a poetic expression of the night sky's brilliance, at the Venice International Film Festival. It will be released as a limited edition of 28 pieces worldwide.

The Dial Completes One Rotation in 23 Hours, 56 Minutes, and 4 Seconds, the Length of a Sidereal Day

At the Venice International Film Festival, to which Jaeger-LeCoultre has been a partner for 15 years, the brand debuted its new watch adorned with constellations, celebrating the festival's status as the world's longest-running film event.

The "Master Grand Tradition Tourbillon Céleste" features an orbital flying tourbillon that completes one rotation of the dial in 23 hours, 56 minutes, and 4 seconds. This duration is significant, representing the length of one sidereal day.

The dial itself depicts the Northern Hemisphere's night sky, with the twelve signs of the zodiac displayed within an outer ring, each marked with its symbol. Small gold indices, appearing to traverse the path of the flying tourbillon, complete one revolution around the dial in a year. The inner part of the rotation is embellished with an ancient celestial calendar.

The case, a design element introduced in January of this year as part of a new generation of case designs, is also featured on the "Master Grand Tradition Gyrotourbillon Westminster Perpetual." The watch is powered by the in-house Calibre 946 movement.
