200m Water Resistance Retained, First-Ever See-Through Caseback on a Current Model Now a Reality
The new Black Bay Fifty-Eight 925 is a dive watch that inherits the style of the iconic Ref. 7924, released in 1958. While maintaining the distinctive proportions of the 1950s, it features Tudor's first-ever silver case paired with a taupe dial, creating a model with a pronounced vintage aesthetic.

Featuring "Incandescent Silver" That Retains Its Beauty Over Time
Tudor's history of dive watches began in 1954. That year, the model boasted a water resistance of 100 meters (330 feet) and marked the origin of Tudor's consistent philosophy: "robust, reliable, and precise tool watches." The new Black Bay Fifty-Eight 925, inheriting its impressive vintage style, has arrived this year.
This piece marks the first time Tudor has used a silver alloy, known as "Incandescent Silver" for its ability to retain beauty over time due to its unique composition, as a case material. The case, while exuding a unique presence with its matte finish, is further enhanced by a warm taupe dial and bezel insert, creating an even more elegant impression. On the dial, details accented in silver, led by the iconic Tudor "Snowflake hands" first introduced in 1969 and carried through to the present, elevate the meticulously crafted design to perfection.
The Manufacture Caliber MT5400 powering this watch offers a power reserve of approximately 70 hours. This caliber can be admired through the open caseback, revealing its distinct finishing. The monobloc tungsten rotor is skeletonized, featuring a sandblasted satin finish, while the bridges and main plate are sandblasted and polished. Laser engraving adds decorative detail.
This movement, embodying robustness, durability, reliability, and precision, features a variable inertia balance wheel regulated by a traversing bridge fixed at two points. It also incorporates an antimagnetic silicon balance spring and is chronometer-certified by the Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute (COSC). While the COSC standard allows for a daily rate of -4 to +6 seconds in the movement state, Tudor achieves an even more stringent standard of -2 to +4 seconds when the watch is fully assembled.
With a case diameter of 39mm, it offers a slightly smaller size and excellent fit. Strap options include leather or fabric. The fabric strap, in a color matching the watch case, is produced by Julien Faure, a family-run company in Saint-Étienne, France, with over 150 years of history, ensuring both high quality and comfortable wear.
