ORIENT STAR introduces a 70th-anniversary limited edition of its flagship "Mechanical Moon Phase" model. This special release reimagines the original's innovative design and in-house movement with a refined, moon-phase-only dial, eschewing the open-heart construction. Limited to just 200 pieces, this highly coveted model will be available exclusively at select prestige shops.

Launched in 2017, the "Mechanical Moon Phase" quickly garnered acclaim from watchmaking experts and enthusiasts alike. It masterfully integrated ORIENT STAR's signature 12 o'clock power reserve indicator, an open-heart view of the mechanical movement at 9 o'clock, and a 6 o'clock retrograde date display encircling the moon phase complication, all within a uniquely conceived design.

In 2021, marking the fourth anniversary of the collection's debut and the brand's 70th year, this special limited edition answers the call of fans who desired a moon phase display without the open-heart feature. While retaining the "Mechanical Moon Phase" collection's classic design elements—such as Roman numerals, railway minute markers, and highly legible leaf-shaped hands—the adoption of an ivory-colored dial imbues the timepiece with an even greater sense of simplicity and refined elegance.

Complementing the beautiful ivory hue, the dial is further enhanced by an embossed pattern in the wide central area, inspired by ORIENT STAR's "OS mark." This subtly textured dial is rendered with exceptional clarity through a double-curved sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating. The watch is paired with a grey alligator leather strap, finished with a glazing technique, which accentuates the classical aesthetic of the ivory dial.

Beyond its timeless design, worthy of enduring admiration, the watch boasts ORIENT STAR's proprietary in-house movement. The automatic Caliber F7M65 offers a power reserve exceeding 50 hours and a daily accuracy of +15 to -5 seconds. The finishing of the Caliber 46系F7 movement, visible through the sapphire crystal exhibition case back, is equally exceptional. This timepiece features a 70th-anniversary engraving and serial number on the case back, comes presented in a special box, and is limited to 200 pieces, exclusively for prestige boutiques, available from Thursday, March 18, 2021.
