Subtle Peanuts Character Accents

Founded in 1950, ORIENT has built a reputation for reliability and quality through its in-house mechanical watch production and sales in over 70 countries. Peanuts also began its newspaper serialization in the U.S. in the same year, 1950, and has since become a beloved character worldwide. The collaboration between ORIENT and Peanuts, realizing this commemorative partnership, is welcome news for fans.
For this collaboration, ORIENT selected base models from three of its signature mechanical watch series: the "ORIENT Bambino 38," the "Semi-Skeleton," and the "ORIENT Mako 40." All three models feature special designs celebrating the 75th anniversaries of ORIENT and Peanuts, resulting in unique and appealing finishes.
The ORIENT Bambino 38 is characterized by its classic and refined design, typical of mechanical watches. It's compact and comfortable to wear, offering a simple yet distinct presence. The dial features the ORIENT 75th anniversary logo in script at the 12 o'clock position. At 6 o'clock, Snoopy is depicted in a reclining pose alongside Woodstock wearing a crown. Furthermore, the number "1" on the date display is replaced by Woodstock, adding a playful touch to the intricate details.
The Semi-Skeleton model offers a glimpse into the allure of mechanical watches through a round window at the 9 o'clock position, revealing a part of the movement. Within the sub-dial for the seconds hand at 6 o'clock, Snoopy and Woodstock are charmingly placed, adding a friendly touch to the contemporary design.
The ORIENT Mako 40 inherits the tradition of ORIENT's dive watch design series. Here too, the "1" on the date display is replaced by Woodstock, skillfully integrating Peanuts' humor into the dive watch aesthetic. Its compact and agile style makes it suitable for everyday wear and a perfect match for casual fashion.
All models are equipped with ORIENT's in-house automatic mechanical movement, boasting over 40 hours of power reserve and stable accuracy. This ensures not only appealing design but also excellent practicality. The case back is engraved with "Orient 75th Anniversary," the Peanuts 75th anniversary logo, a Woodstock engraving, and a limited serial number, enhancing its value as a collector's item.
Additionally, the ORIENT Bambino 38 and Semi-Skeleton models come with leather bands featuring an easy-exchange strap system. This allows for simple band replacement, offering the enjoyment of changing the watch's look to suit the occasion or mood.
These models are all produced in limited quantities. The ORIENT Bambino 38 is limited to 7,800 units in total (150 in Japan, 7,650 overseas). The Semi-Skeleton is limited to 1,900 units (100 in Japan, 1,800 overseas), and the ORIENT Mako 40 is limited to 3,800 units (150 in Japan, 3,650 overseas).
A charming box is also provided, adding to the appeal of the collaborative packaging.
While collaboration watches with Peanuts characters have appeared before, the relatively accessible price point is also a welcome feature. This collaboration, born from a respect for the history of both brands and their fans, is sure to become a special timepiece for enthusiasts.
