G-SHOCK, the shock-resistant watch brand, is releasing the "GST-B100RH," a signature model designed by professional basketball player Rui Hachimura, his first design supervision. The release date is Saturday, August 8, 2020.

Rui Hachimura is a professional basketball player who continues to challenge himself, expanding his career from Japan to the global stage. In 2019, he was the first Japan-born player to be selected in the first round (9th overall pick) of the US basketball league. He achieved success in his rookie season of the 2019-2020 US professional basketball league and is expected to be a key player for his team in the future.

G-SHOCK and Hachimura entered into a global partnership agreement in November 2019. Subsequently, the "GST-B100RH" signature model, designed by Hachimura, who has been a G-SHOCK fan since his student days, was released.

The base model is from the G-STEEL series, characterized by its bezel combining different materials, featuring an analog chronograph "GST-B100" with a large disc hand. The design is predominantly black, with sharp gold IP processing applied to the metal parts, creating a cool impression.

In homage to Hachimura's name and his jersey number "8," passionate red accents are incorporated into the index at 8 o'clock, the button pipes, and the disc hand. Furthermore, as proof of this signature model, Hachimura's original logo, known as the "Black Samurai logo" and featuring the character "八" (eight) and the initial "H" from Hachimura, is displayed on the case back, the keeper, and the specially designed packaging.

Regarding this signature model, Hachimura commented, "It's wonderful that it was completed exactly as I envisioned. I think it will go well with various fashions. It's also very cool to have my logo engraved on the watch; it's an important symbol for me, so I'm happy."
