A G-SHOCK with a new structure that enhances toughness while maintaining the beautiful presence of metal
The "MTG-B2000" adopts the newly developed "Dual Core Guard Structure," which evolves the metal core guard structure used in previous MT-G series models and combines it with a lightweight yet highly rigid carbon fiber-reinforced resin case.
This is a double structure where a "carbon monocoque case," which seamlessly integrates the case and case back, is surrounded by metal, creating a design that allows the beautiful texture of metal to be enjoyed from the front and sides.
At the same time, while maintaining the mid-size and weight that fit comfortably on the wrist from the "MTG-B1000" released in 2018, the proportion of metal in the exterior has been increased. Furthermore, it is equipped with the "TRIPLE G RESIST" reinforced structure that withstands shock, centrifugal force, and vibration, ensuring toughness.
The bezel colors are available in three models: red, blue, and black.
The bracelet material for the red and blue models uses a new layer composite band with an increased proportion of resin combined with metal parts, achieving a 15% weight reduction compared to previous models (MTG-B1000D). The blue model features a soft urethane band with a high degree of fit, enhancing comfort while emphasizing a sharp appearance.
In terms of functionality, it is equipped with three dual coil motors for the first time in the MT-G series to enable speedy hand movement. In addition to standard radio wave reception, it links with a dedicated app via Bluetooth® connection to automatically correct the time when a smartphone is nearby. Furthermore, when traveling across time zones, it can correct the time to the local time via an internet time server without button operation.
