The 5000 series, G-SHOCK's full-metal square model, welcomes the "GMW-B5000TR," which utilizes a titanium alloy newly developed for G-SHOCK. It will be released on Friday, April 23, 2021.

The "GMW-B5000TR" uses a titanium alloy from Nippon Steel's designing titanium brand "TranTixxii®" for its exterior parts. This is a special titanium alloy that was co-developed over six years with Nippon Steel, pursuing further material evolution for G-SHOCK.

This new material retains the characteristics of titanium while ensuring twice the hardness of pure titanium. This makes it possible to apply a finish comparable to stainless steel to titanium, which was previously difficult to mirror-finish. For the first time in a G-SHOCK titanium model, the bezel and band feature a full mirror finish on their top surfaces.

The new material's mirror finish, comparable to stainless steel, enables new expressions that highlight the beauty of IP (Ion Plating). For the first time in a metal model, multi-color IP has been adopted.

The case features gold IP, while the band and buttons are finished with newly developed dark blue, along with red, light gray, dark gray, and gold IP in multiple colors for each part. This creates a design that, while being a metal model, is full of G-SHOCK's characteristic playfulness. The dial also features multi-color accents, giving it a pop impression.

In terms of functionality, it is equipped with smartphone link capabilities, allowing for easy setting of automatic time correction and world time. It also includes practical features such as CASIO's proprietary Tough Solar charging system, Multi-Band 6, and a high-luminosity auto LED backlight.
