A Century's Invention That Redefined Anti-Magnetic Watches

In 2013, OMEGA created a movement with an unprecedented magnetic resistance exceeding 15,000 gauss, overturning the norms of the watch industry. In '14, they named this highly anti-magnetic movement the "Master Co-Axial" and expanded its collection significantly.

The "Seamaster Aqua Terra Master Co-Axial" is one such model. Originally, the "Aqua Terra" was introduced in '13 equipped with this high anti-magnetic movement, and this is the '14 version.

The Cal. 8500 movement features a silicon balance spring, OMEGA's proprietary power transmission system, and the Co-Axial escapement for long-term maintenance-free operation. By incorporating the newly developed non-magnetic alloy Nivagauss, the "Master Co-Axial" with near-perfect magnetic resistance was completed. This easily surpassed the previous limit of approximately 1000 gauss, which was the maximum for watches using soft iron inner cases.

Furthermore, the "Aqua Terra" boasts a reliable 150m water-resistant case, a sporty design suitable for any occasion, and has been a highly popular entry-level model. With the addition of the "Master Co-Axial" as a standard feature, inquiries to the customer center have been non-stop. The orange indexes are a first for the "Aqua Terra," matching the vibrant orange seconds hand. The strap is made of luxurious Barénia calf leather, also used for fine leather goods by renowned fashion brands. Its design is impeccable.
