New Concept: "Elegance and Sophistication"

Abraham-Louis Breguet, who is said to have "advanced the history of watchmaking by two centuries," was a legendary watchmaker active from the late 18th to the early 19th century. His inventions ranged from complex mechanisms like the tourbillon to decorative elements that enhanced the aesthetic appeal of watches. Today, Breguet belongs to the Swatch Group and carries on the legacy of this genius watchmaker, widely recognized as a preeminent name in high-end mechanical timepieces.

Breguet Boutique Ginza, located in the Nicolas G. Hayek Center in Ginza, Tokyo, is Japan's only flagship shop. This boutique is set to reopen on November 29th.

The new boutique will expand its floor space, occupying the entire 3rd floor of the Hayek Center. The spacious retail area, overseen by Breguet's Swiss headquarters, will feature an interior design themed around "elegance and sophistication." Notably, the glass walls surrounding the showcases are engraved with "Clous de Paris," a signature dial motif conceived by Breguet himself, reminiscent of the cobblestone streets of Paris. Furthermore, the boutique will permanently display machinery that evokes the tradition of watchmaking, such as hand-operated lathes, offering a glimpse into the brand's craftsmanship.

The newly added private salon, with its feminine interior inspired by the Petit Trianon, favored by Marie Antoinette, a renowned admirer of Breguet timepieces, will be a unique space among Breguet boutiques worldwide. Available by appointment, this area will focus on high jewelry watches and fine jewelry, and will also host customer events.

Events are also planned for November 29th and 30th to commemorate the reopening. These include live demonstrations of hand-engraved guilloché by skilled Swiss artisans, cameo carving demonstrations by Neapolitan craftsmen, and the unveiling and sale of three unique pieces to celebrate the reopening. These events are not to be missed by watch enthusiasts.

It is an ideal opportunity to fully immerse oneself in the selection of timepieces within a space that embodies both the tradition and innovation of Breguet.
