A Glamorous Timepiece Evoking the Vibrant Nightscapes of Asian Metropolises

As a serial innovator, ROGER DUBUIS has forged a path in "hyper horology" by relentlessly pursuing the unknown frontiers of design and technology with boundless creativity and a fearless approach that knows no limits. This new "Excalibur Blacklight" collection from ROGER DUBUIS is a testament to that bold vision, captivating with its avant-garde allure.
While the watch is enveloped in delicate and elegant white, black, and grey tones during the day, the calibre and flange come alive at night with a spectrum of colors, reminiscent of the dazzling neon lights illuminating the night skies of Hong Kong, Singapore, and Beijing. This effect is achieved through the micro-structure of transparent sapphire, which reacts to UV light woven into the Maison's innovative self-winding skeleton calibre, RD820SQ—a true fusion of art and cutting-edge technology.
One of the new "Excalibur Blacklight" models, evoking the neon-drenched metropolises of Asia, features an elegant 18K white gold case set with round diamonds and a rubber strap with a luminescent finish that glows in the dark. The other is a dazzling creation in 18K pink gold, adorned with round colored gemstones. These exclusive timepieces are available in a limited run of 8 pieces for Asia and 28 pieces worldwide, exclusively at ROGER DUBUIS boutiques.
To commemorate the "Excalibur Blacklight" collection, ROGER DUBUIS collaborated with Wu Chi Kai, one of Hong Kong's last traditional neon sign artisans, in an endeavor to recreate one of ROGER DUBUIS's signature codes in Hong Kong's iconic neon lights.
Wu Chi Kai remarked, "Neon art lives within my soul. It's where the charm of Hong Kong and the atmosphere of the metropolis are born. Neon art requires meticulous attention to detail, experience, and craftsmanship. The watchmakers at ROGER DUBUIS share this same dedication and spirit, which I deeply respect. As a neon craftsman, I am delighted that ROGER DUBUIS has incorporated this special art and technique into the Excalibur Blacklight."
With an exclusive production of just 8 and 28 pieces per model, the "Excalibur Blacklight" represents ROGER DUBUIS's ultimate statement—a timepiece that conveys the vibrant energy of Asia's dynamic modern cities to those who seek unparalleled masterpieces.
