OMEGA and Swimming: A Shared History
For decades, OMEGA has been entrusted with official timekeeping duties at major swimming competitions, boasting a long history of leadership in international aquatics. Furthermore, OMEGA has supported the development of key technologies in swimming timekeeping and results recording, such as the 'touchpad' and 'high-speed video cameras'.
It is only natural, then, that OMEGA has been chosen as the official timekeeper for this event.
Distinguished OMEGA Ambassadors
OMEGA's exclusive ambassadors include elite swimmers who have made their mark on swimming history, such as Michael Phelps and Alexander Popov. This year, Massimiliano Rosolino has joined their ranks.
Rosolino shares his thoughts:
“It is a great honor and a pleasure to compete with OMEGA. Being able to train with their latest timekeeping technology is fantastic. OMEGA has made history in sports, and their high-performance equipment and watches are known by everyone, further motivating us to achieve our target times in major competitions and press events. As the only Italian on an international team with world-class swimmers like Phelps, I look forward to welcoming my teammates to Rome and giving them my best hospitality.”
