From the shock-resistant watch "G-SHOCK," the "5000" series, a full-metal rendition of the original model's square case, welcomes a new bi-color model, the "GMW-B5000PB-6JF," featuring purple and blue ion plating (IP). It will be released on Friday, September 10, 2021.

From the "GMW-B5000" series, which faithfully reproduces the original "DW-5000C" G-SHOCK's shape in full metal, comes the "GMW-B5000PB-6JF." This bi-color model features purple and blue IP coating, inspired by "Tokyo at twilight."

The watch expresses the beautiful urban scenery of twilight, where light and shadow mingle. A newly developed purple IP coating, achieved through repeated adjustments of saturation and brightness, is applied to the bezel and band, alongside a blue-gray IP coating designed for a chic, dark color. This unique expression is realized by combining two types of IP (ion plating) – a surface treatment technology where ionized metal is vapor-deposited – with a focus on "CMF expression," enhancing the Color, Material, and Finish of the metal.

With subdued colors and a hairline finish, the overall tone is calm. The orange and light blue accents on the face represent the city lights that illuminate as day turns to night. The bezel and bracelet feature hairline and mirror finishes, enhancing the natural texture of the metal while evoking the interplay of diverse lights.

Functionally, it is equipped with Bluetooth® mobile link capabilities. In addition to standard radio wave reception, it can connect to time servers via smartphone to obtain accurate time information. Various settings, such as alarms and world time, can be easily operated from a smartphone. Convenient reminder and phone finder functions are also included, ensuring practicality.
