Adding Deep Dark Brown to Timeless Design
The ISSEY MIYAKE collection, known for its innovative watch designs and collaborations with pioneering creators, has produced numerous masterpieces. These include Ross Lovegrove's "Hu," Yves Béhar's "Vue," Tokujin Yoshioka's "TO," and Shunji Yamanaka's "INSETTO" and "OVO." Product designer Naoto Fukasawa is also among the designers who have contributed to the collection. His "TWELVE" model remains a celebrated classic among fans.

The "TWELVE" large model. Quartz, stainless steel case with dark brown leather band, 2-hand large, ¥31,500, scheduled for October release.

Quartz, the "TWELVE" multi-hand model also features a new strap. Stainless steel case with dark brown leather band, multi-hand large, ¥33,600, scheduled for October release.
Fukasawa designed "TWELVE" with the intention, "I wanted to design a watch that is as simple and strong as possible." It is characterized by its 12-sided case and a dial without indices.
Its simplicity makes it a timeless design that never grows tiresome. At the time of its release, Fukasawa commented, "The case itself is a 12-sided shape that indicates the time, and I've added hour and minute hands with the same thickness as the diameter of the central axis. The 12-sided shape and thick hands create a distinct face. Simple, strong, and clear statements suit the ISSEY MIYAKE brand."
This year, three new models featuring dark brown straps have been added to the "TWELVE" collection. A watch can reveal a new facet of its character by changing its strap. The newly added deep hue is perfect for its timeless design, transforming the watch into an autumn/winter essential. The "TWELVE" collection has further expanded its variations, and its future developments are highly anticipated.
(New straps are available for the large, small, and multi-hand large models.)
