The First Round Case: Designed for Divers

Richard Mille has unveiled its new "RM025 Tourbillon Chronograph Diver's Watch." At first glance, the round case, a departure from Richard Mille's previous aesthetic, immediately catches the eye. This significantly transformed round case is, in fact, shaped to meet the ISO standard for diver's watches, offering 300-meter water resistance, and incorporates various ingenious features that underscore Richard Mille's signature practicality.

The dynamic three-part case utilizes torque screws made of grade 5 titanium. By applying optimal tension to each screw, the outer circumference of the case is evenly sealed under pressure, successfully enhancing water resistance. Furthermore, the three-layer bezel, also secured by 24 screws like the case, features a mechanism to prevent reverse rotation. The entire bezel system is screwed into the case, ensuring stability and preventing any loosening. Parts such as the column wheel and levers have also been newly developed for this watch, improving usability by eliminating chronograph hand jumping.

Approximately five years were dedicated to the development of this diver's watch, themed around the "deep sea," to house the complex mechanisms of a tourbillon and chronograph. Richard Mille's unique ideas and ingenuity have given birth to a distinctive form in this ambitious new creation.

Inspired by Celtic Civilization
A Tourbillon for Women

The other new release is a ladies' model, a tourbillon adorned with the "Celtic knot" motif, symbolizing Celtic civilization from the 5th century. A single, continuous line, representing the immortality of the soul and the perpetuity of humankind, is drawn to encompass the barrel, power reserve indicator, and tourbillon. The Celtic knot pattern, with its three intersecting arcs, is meticulously incorporated even onto the tourbillon bridge.

Beyond its fantastical motif, the movement's baseplate is embellished with black onyx, believed to bring peace of mind. This demonstrates Richard Mille's characteristic spirit of infusing playfulness into complication watches, even for ladies' models, offering a unique experience.
