Inspiration Drawn from Historic 1950s Models

Baume & Mercier was founded in 1830 in the Jura region of Switzerland. From its inception, the maison possessed a global perspective and a passion for travel, opening branches in London in 1851 and Philadelphia, USA, in 1876. Its extensive sales network expanded to Australia, Singapore, and beyond, with Baume & Mercier's meticulously crafted, accurate timepieces journeying across oceans.

The Clifton GMT embodies the maison's dedication to celebrating its rich history while providing practical functionality for the traveling man. It is equipped with a highly reliable and accurate ETA automatic movement. The dual-time function is indicated by a red pointer at the tip of the hand, which completes a full rotation of the dial in 24 hours.



Inspired by a Baume & Mercier model released in the 1950s, the beautifully lined case is crafted from polished and satin-finished steel, measuring 43mm in diameter. The sunray satin-finished dial is available in either silver or dark grey.

The sapphire crystal see-through case back allows a view of the movement's intricate workings, and a calendar is displayed at the 3 o'clock position. The strap is made of black or red-brown alligator leather, creating a simple yet elegant aesthetic.

Named after 'GMT' – Greenwich Mean Time, the world standard time originating from the Royal Observatory in Greenwich – the 'Clifton GMT' is a new addition to the Clifton collection. This timepiece, displaying two time zones with beautiful balance and a calm demeanor, offers everyday usability through simple operation, exuding an air of mature sophistication and elegance.
