Popular Northern Irish golfer Rory McIlroy has been appointed as a new OMEGA ambassador, joining stars such as Nicole Kidman and George Clooney. He is the latest addition to a list of ambassadors that brings together stars from various fields.

Contract Signed with World No. 1 Female Golfer Stacy Lewis

Rory McIlroy, the golfer, has been announced as the newest ambassador for OMEGA, joining a prestigious lineup that includes legendary golfer Greg Norman, numerous other renowned golfers, and big names like Nicole Kidman, George Clooney, and Daniel Craig.

OMEGA is strengthening its ties with golf, a sport that has garnered increased attention following its confirmed return as an Olympic event at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Games. In 2011, the company also entered into a multi-year partnership with the PGA of America. Last year, OMEGA signed a contract with Rory McIlroy, whose performance at the Ryder Cup—the biennial men's golf competition between teams from Europe and the United States, held in Illinois, USA, for which OMEGA served as the official timekeeper—is still fresh in memory.

OMEGA President Stephen Urquhart commented, "Rory is one of those golfers who lights up every course he plays. We are excited to see how his exceptional talent unfolds."

Rory McIlroy added, "I've always been a fan of the OMEGA brand, so becoming an ambassador is truly special. It's incredibly exciting, and I look forward to building a wonderful relationship together for a long time to come."

Simultaneously with Rory McIlroy, OMEGA also announced an ambassador contract with Stacy Lewis, the world's No. 1 ranked female golfer. We will continue to follow OMEGA's relationship with golf, now bolstered by top male and female players as ambassadors.
