A Sports Assist Watch in Partnership with EVERLAST

In 2018, G-SHOCK celebrated its 35th anniversary with a succession of collaboration and limited-edition models. The momentum continues into 2019 with the release of the "GBA-800EL," a collaboration model with EVERLAST, the top American brand in boxing and fitness gear.

The base model is the G-SQUAD "GBA-800," which allows users to enjoy sports more intimately through Bluetooth® communication with their smartphones. The color scheme is a matte red, reminiscent of EVERLAST's boxing gloves. The "EVERLAST" logo is printed on the dial, band, and case back, and the brand's philosophy, "Choice of Champions," appears when the light is turned on.




The G-SQUAD series, along with the dedicated "G-SHOCK Connected" application, supports sports and workouts. It features step counting via a 3-axis accelerometer, timers that can measure up to 5 sets of 20-second intervals, up to 200 lap memories, and easy activity management for improved physical fitness. App integration also enables features such as a 5-level exercise intensity step log, calorie calculation, target step setting, timer menu creation and transfer, stopwatch data storage, and consolidated data review, making sports more accessible through training menu creation and activity logs.

It also includes essential watch functions like auto time adjustment and an auto double LED light that is useful for workouts in dark conditions. To avoid hindering activities, a compact case is used, and a wing-shaped guard is attached to the base of the band's underside to enhance wearability. A new loop shape prevents slippage, and the band features more holes than usual for fine adjustments.
