Breitling has announced the second installment of its capsule collection, "Airline Edition." Inspired by the legendary American airline Pan Am, the model celebrating the golden age of aviation is scheduled for release in April.

The "Airline Edition," Breitling's first capsule collection, embodies the spirit of the era from the 1960s to the '70s when commercial aviation saw dramatic development. The first installment featured Swissair, Breitling's national airline. Now, the second installment introduces a model inspired by Pan Am, an airline that remains highly popular despite ceasing operations.

Breitling has a deep and inseparable relationship with aircraft, playing a crucial role. Beginning with onboard chronographs fitted to propeller and jet planes, Breitling launched the Navitimer wristwatch chronograph in 1952. Its slide rule allowed pilots to perform essential calculations during flight, quickly making it a favorite among aviators.

The newly announced "Navitimer 1 B01 Chronograph 43 Pan Am Edition" features the famous Pan Am logo printed on its sapphire crystal case back. It combines a blue dial with silver subdials, and can be fitted with a vintage-style brown leather strap, the Breitling Air Racer bracelet, or a stainless steel mesh bracelet.

The movement is the in-house developed Caliber 01, boasting a robust power reserve of approximately 70 hours, and it also features the bidirectional rotating bezel with a slide rule, beloved by many pilots.
