A Special Space Where Contemporary Art and High Jewelry Intersect on the Second Floor
The Ginza Namiki Dori store opened in 1981 as the first directly managed store in Japan. In 2004, to mark the Maison's 150th anniversary, it was renovated into an even more beautiful and striking building designed by architect Jun Aoki. This winter, to allow for the enjoyment of exclusive collections in a more refined space, watch and fine jewelry salons have been established on the first and second floors.
Stepping onto the first floor, you are greeted by a warm space that unfolds alongside antique trunks, embodying Louis Vuitton's identity. The chic and contemporary interior, incorporating Japanese elements throughout, was designed by French designer Gwenael Nicolas.
In a luxurious space adorned with monogram motifs crafted from crushed glass, you'll find the special timepieces, each limited to just 888 pieces worldwide: the "Tambour Automatic Chronograph Vol II," distinguished by its striking yellow central hand, and the "Tambour Automatic Chronograph Voyage II," inspired by the dashboards of 1970s sports cars, evoking the world of car racing. For ladies' models, there's the "Tambour Forever Black & White," a graceful combination of monogram flower diamonds on the dial and a Monogram Vernis strap.
On the second floor, alongside exquisite leather goods made from rare materials, high jewelryis displayed. A new bridal space has also been created. Here, carefully selected contemporary artworks are presented alongside iconic designs such as the "Pendant Monogram Idylle Trois Clés," launched this spring, which combines the Monogram and a key motif, and the "Bague Ardente," a ring featuring diamonds cut into the shapes of Monogram Flowers and Monogram Stars, creating a rare space where art and luxury converge.
This new salon, created with the essence of elegance, invites you to admire the fine jewelry and watches, supported by Louis Vuitton's exceptional craftsmanship, within its beautiful surroundings.
