For future generations. Breitling announces its participation in ocean conservation efforts

Breitling has announced a partnership with the NGO "Ocean Conservancy," a leader in marine environmental protection activities worldwide.

Ocean Conservancy is an environmental protection organization based in the United States, founded in 1972. Its coastal cleanup activities have been carried out in 153 countries for over 30 years, with tens of thousands of events and hundreds of thousands of volunteers participating. Furthermore, since 1986, the "International Coastal Cleanup" organized by the group has collected over 230 million pounds (approximately 100,000 tons) of trash from more than 12 million participants.

While Breitling is known for its deep connection to aviation, it also has a history of crafting superb dive watches, such as the "Superocean," which debuted over 60 years ago and remains popular today.

Georges Kern, CEO of Breitling, expressed his profound admiration for Ocean Conservancy's activities, stating:

"As a global corporate citizen, we are delighted to support Ocean Conservancy's mission to protect healthy oceans. They have a proven track record of mobilizing millions of people for coastal protection, and they fight tirelessly for our oceans, wildlife, and coastal communities."

Meanwhile, Janice S. S. Jones, CEO of Ocean Conservancy, warmly welcomes this partnership.

"I am very much looking forward to our collaboration with CEO Georges Kern and the Breitling team. Breitling's customers are 'explorers' who venture to every corner of the globe, witnessing the beauty and wonder of the oceans from special places that are not easily reached. Both Breitling and its customers undoubtedly understand firsthand that healthy oceans, free of trash and plastic and teeming with life, are critically important for all life on this magnificent planet. We look forward to our future joint activities towards our shared mission of protecting healthy oceans."

Breitling plans to actively participate in various aspects of Ocean Conservancy's work. One initiative includes organizing and executing coastal cleanup events worldwide as part of the "International Coastal Cleanup." The collected waste will be recycled using the most efficient and environmentally conscious methods, with expert assistance. These cleanups will also invite children to participate, serving as an educational program to learn what they can do to help restore ocean health and prevent pollution of coasts and oceans.

Furthermore, a portion of the proceeds from a special limited edition of the Superocean Heritage collection will be donated to Ocean Conservancy.

CEO Kern commented, "The world's oceans are in crisis. We all know this, but often feel powerless to act due to the sheer scale of the problem. Together with Ocean Conservancy, Breitling wants to clearly communicate that there are actions each of us can take, not just for ourselves, but for future generations."
