A Red Window Appears When Power Reserve Drops Below 10 Hours
The "Richard Lange Jumping Seconds," equipped with a unique mechanism that advances the seconds hand in one-second increments, much like a quartz watch, now sees a pink gold edition added this year, following last year's platinum release.
In the "Richard Lange Jumping Seconds," the star is the "second," the smallest unit of time. To emphasize this, the largest seconds sub-dial is positioned at the top of the regulator dial. Here, a blue seconds hand ticks forward 60 times per minute.
Furthermore, when the maximum 42-hour power reserve falls below 10 hours, a small triangular window where the hour, minute, and seconds sub-dials intersect turns red.
The sapphire crystal case back, showcasing the mechanism, features a zero-reset mechanism. When the crown is pulled, the balance with the eccentric weights stops. The seconds hand instantly returns to zero, allowing for precise time setting with the hourly chime.
