The in-house Calibre 36 movement, unveiled in spring 2016, became the heart of the Senator Excellence, laying the foundation for the next generation of timepieces. Now, two new models have joined this collection, symbolizing GLASHÜTTE ORIGINAL’s watchmaking prowess: the Senator Excellence Panorama Date and the Senator Excellence Panorama Date Moon Phase.

The case of the Senator Excellence Panorama Date features soft curves, a date window that elegantly integrates into the dial, and a stepped design, like a frame, that creates a sense of visual depth.

The numerals are printed in deep black to stand out against the ivory dial. The large date display uses two separate discs for the two digits, positioned concentrically and horizontally, eliminating the need for a bar to divide the numbers. Simultaneously, the precise jumping mechanism ensures improved accuracy when changing the date.

In the Senator Excellence Panorama Date Moon Phase, a silver moon traces its orbit within a softly curved window positioned between 10 and 11 o'clock. The moon, meticulously diamond-cut at the brand's own dial manufactory in Pforzheim, Germany, emerges against a dazzling galvanic blue starry sky.

The Senator Excellence collection undergoes a rigorous 24-day testing process for each timepiece. These tests are conducted under conditions far exceeding the standards required by German chronometer certification, and the same testing requirements apply to all watches in this collection, regardless of type or complexity.

A certificate of inspection allows for individual test results to be viewed and confirmed on a dedicated online portal.
