The distinctive black color of this series is achieved through Citizen's proprietary surface hardening technology "Duratect," specifically "Duratect DLC (Diamond Like Carbon)," which imparts exceptional hardness and a luxurious finish.
The black body, resistant to scratches and possessing a refined texture, is a matte black that shifts its expression with the angle of light. The bezel is designed with restrained ornamentation, finished simply and solidly. The six slits arranged on it not only give the watch's outline a unique character but also serve as markers for quickly grasping the time.
Citizen's Black Titanium (Titanium + Duratect DLC) achieves a surface hardness far superior to that of standard black-coated titanium, while also being resistant to metal allergies. Furthermore, to ensure a beautiful mirror finish on titanium, which is difficult to process, the titanium itself is custom-made from its composition. Citizen has also independently developed polishing abrasives and waxes specifically for titanium.
A portion of the band on the "CC9075-52E" features "Duratect MRK," making it resistant not only to scratches but also to impact. This is another testament to Citizen's dedication, having produced numerous masterpieces.
The movement is equipped with the latest Eco-Drive GPS satellite radio watch Cal.F900, capable of receiving GPS signals in as little as 3 seconds for time information alone, the fastest and shortest in the world. It boasts comprehensive functions such as dual time and double direct flight.
