Limited to 2,012 Pieces Worldwide

The hashtag "#SpeedyTuesday" was created by Robert-Jan Broer, founder of the watch specialty site "Fratello Watches." Through this initiative, fans worldwide have been sharing photos and comments of OMEGA's representative model, the Speedmaster, every Tuesday online.

Five years after the hashtag's inception in 2012, OMEGA created the new limited edition model, the "Speedmaster "Speedy Tuesday" Limited Edition," as a token of gratitude to its fans.

The design is based on the "Speedmaster "Alaska Project III" Model" created for NASA in 1978. The matte brushed stainless steel case and the "radial sub-dials" with large, radially arranged numerals faithfully reproduce the excellent legibility required for use in space.

Furthermore, it reflects inspiration from the "reverse panda" dial that first appeared in 1966. Silvery sub-dials, resembling mother-of-pearl, are set within the black dial, surrounded by a matte black aluminum bezel ring and tachymeter scale.

Additionally, a vintage OMEGA logo is featured, and all markers and radial sub-dials are coated with luminous paint.

The watch also incorporates classic Speedmaster elements, such as a domed Hesalite crystal with a logo, a vintage buckle, and a vintage-cut brown leather strap with distinctive stitching.

The case back is engraved with the Speedmaster's iconic Seahorse emblem, surrounded by the inscription "SPEEDY TUESDAY ANNIVERSARY – A TRIBUTE TO ALASKA PROJECT III," along with the limited edition number, highlighting its special status.

It also comes in a special leather roll case, featuring a black & white NATO strap with "#SpeedyTuesday" engraved on the loop, and a strap-changing tool, making it a distinctive offering.

Inside, the watch is powered by the Caliber 1861 movement, the same used in the Speedmaster Moonwatch.

A total of 2,012 pieces are available worldwide, commemorating the year the online community began. All units allocated to Japan were reserved within just 4 hours and 15 minutes of the reservation launch, attesting to its immense popularity.

Currently, it is available on a waiting list, with registrations open online.

The watches are expected to be ready for collection this summer at OMEGA boutiques in Ginza, Umeda, and Shinsaibashi.
