MINASE is a domestic watch brand established in 2005 by Kyowa Seiko as its own brand, aiming for the global market with Japan's unique craftsmanship. The brand name "MINASE" is derived from the place name of Minase in Yuzawa City, Akita Prefecture, where the atelier is located, in honor of the watchmakers who embody craftsmanship and are involved in its production.

HiZ models fuse avant-garde style with craftsmanship and Japanese aesthetics, while Master Craft models offer authentic designs where the artisan's skill and handwork can be appreciated in every detail. For the 2015-2016 winter limited color, the HiZ "Champagne Gold" model, featuring a deep champagne gold for the case and dial, has been released at specialty stores and department stores nationwide.

To coincide with the season of events like Christmas and New Year's parties, a complimentary service is available to engrave messages or initials on the rotor (the oscillating weight) of the movement, making it a special gift for a cherished partner or a memorable keepsake.

Key technical features of "MINASE" include Zaratsu polishing and the MORE structure. Zaratsu polishing is the pinnacle of polishing techniques, essential for manufacturing high-end watches. Only technicians with exceptional skill and experience can perform it. It is said that very few Swiss watchmakers currently employ this method.

The MORE structure, inspired by Japanese kumiki (interlocking wooden puzzles), refers to a design that allows exterior parts such as the case and bracelet to be repeatedly disassembled and reassembled. Incidentally, MORE is an acronym for Minase Original Rebuilding Equation, meaning "unique rebuilding method."
