An Advanced Manufactory Design Incorporating Glashütte's Traditional Architectural Style

To further the pursuit of creating the world's finest mechanical timepieces, as envisioned by founder Ferdinand Adolph Lange, A. Lange & Söhne has completed a new manufactory project, the largest in the company's history, with an investment of tens of millions of euros. Located at the southern edge of Glashütte, Germany, the expansive new manufactory boasts a total production space of 5,400 square meters and features an impressive bright, clean façade. Incorporating architectural styles passed down through generations in Glashütte, it exudes a dignified presence while harmonizing with the surrounding townscape.

The new manufactory also succeeds in minimizing environmental impact and resource consumption. All 55 geothermal generators are buried at depths of up to 125 meters underground, enabling comfortable temperature control throughout the year, regardless of the season. It stands as the largest eco-friendly factory facility in Saxony utilizing geothermal energy.

Large, open windows allow natural light to flood in, and double-door structures at the entrance of each work area ensure meticulous temperature control and dust prevention. The advanced and sophisticated working environment provided by the two-building complex supports the traditional craftsmanship of mechanical watchmaking.
