Ongoing Support for Tohoku Reconstruction Since the Great East Japan Earthquake

Richard Mille has been continuously supporting the reconstruction of Tohoku since immediately after the Great East Japan Earthquake in 2011. Through the "Hataichi Fund," which aims to provide mental care, education, and support for the independence of children affected by the disaster for 20 years, Richard Mille has supported the activities of Collabo-School, an educational facility for children affected by the disaster. In fiscal year 2014, approximately 320 students from elementary to high school were supported.

Collabo-School is an after-school program established by the Certified NPO Katariba in the heavily affected areas of Ogawa Town, Miyagi Prefecture, and Otsuchi Town, Iwate Prefecture, with the aim of providing a place for learning and a sense of belonging for children affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake in March 2011. Even four years after the earthquake, nearly 40% of Collabo-School students still live in temporary housing. For children living in environments where it is difficult to secure private space, a place for calm study and a sense of daily belonging will continue to be necessary. Securing operating funds is one of the significant challenges.

Items to be exhibited at this charity auction include one unique piece of the RM 055 Bubba Watson (reference retail price: 12.5 million yen) and one RM 011 Felipe Massa 10th Anniversary model (reference retail price: 17.4 million yen). The application period is from Wednesday, September 9, 2015, to Sunday, November 8, 2015, 6:00 PM. The amounts bid and won at the charity auction will be donated to the Hataichi Fund and Jules Bianchi.
