Casio's Timekeeping Revolution
In 2014, Casio introduced the world's first GPS hybrid radio-controlled solar watch, capable of receiving signals from both GPS satellites and standard radio towers.
This year, leveraging this technology, Casio aims to further strengthen its lineup under the concept of "Global Time Sync," centered on its world time function.
The models prepared specifically for Baselworld, in particular, made a strong visual impact and captured the attention of industry professionals at the venue.
Vintage Aesthetics Meet Hybrid Radio Control
The "G-SHOCK GPW-1000TBS" immediately catches the eye with its unprecedented exterior. Retaining the hybrid radio reception, G-SHOCK's signature toughness, and high functionality, it utilizes titanium—lightweight, strong, and rust-resistant—to achieve approximately a 10% weight reduction compared to the conventional "G-SHOCK GPW-1000." The use of high-hardness 64-titanium alloy for the bezel ensures exceptional resistance to scratches.
The bezel features a dual-layer IP treatment: a gold IP base followed by a black IP finish, with parts of the black layer selectively removed to create a rich vintage feel. This hybrid radio-controlled "G-SHOCK," with its first-class exterior, is irresistible to fans.

Japanese Tradition Reimagined with Cutting-Edge Technology
The MR-G1000RT is a hybrid radio-controlled model from G-SHOCK's premium "MR-G" line. Based on the "MRG-G1000," which features "Dual Dial World Time" for displaying two time zones simultaneously, this model embodies traditional Japanese aesthetics.
The bezel and metal blades are crafted from high-hardness 64-titanium alloy, treated with recrystallization to achieve a surface reminiscent of the "nie" (wavy patterns) found on Japanese swords. This is then finished with a deep blue DLC coating, akin to indigo, enhancing scratch resistance while providing a distinctly Japanese color palette.
The front screws and the surfaces of the indices are finished in gold, exuding an elegant aura. This model, worthy of setting a new benchmark for "MR-G" pricing, truly embodies "Made in Japan" down to the finest detail.

Mysterious Beauty Like Earth Floating in Space
The OCW-G1000S, a special model based on the "Oceanus OCW-G1000," Casio's most elegant full-metal hybrid radio-controlled watch, has been unveiled. Its concept is "Earth at Night as seen from Space."
The bezel, case, and bracelet feature DLC coating to express the deep black of night and space, with a black dial. However, the use of recrystallized blue sapphire for the crystal masterfully represents the blue of the oceans within the darkness. Furthermore, the 12 o'clock position's Roman numerals are inlaid with solid 18K gold, and gold accents on the subdials and buttons evoke the lights of Earth. The exterior, true to its concept, presents a captivating vision of Earth suspended in the darkness.
