New Watch Quality Standard Launched
The "Master Chronometer" Standard Guarantees Magnetic Resistance and Precision (1)
Last year, OMEGA made waves with the announcement of its "Master Co-Axial" models, featuring groundbreaking Co-Axial escapements for long-term maintenance-free operation and resistance to magnetic fields exceeding 15,000 gauss. This year, the Master Co-Axial has evolved into a quality standard in itself. In partnership with a third-party certification body, the new "Master Chronometer" standard has been unveiled. Here, we introduce new products and commemorative models that meet this rigorous standard.

Technological Innovations Realized by OMEGA
News has arrived that truly underscores the advanced technological capabilities of the OMEGA watch brand: the announcement of a new quality standard for watches, the "Master Chronometer." This is a new benchmark for watchmaking, jointly established by OMEGA and the independent testing institute METAS.
The quality standard comprises eight criteria, including the watch's precision in its finished state and its reliability, which encompasses resistance to magnetic fields exceeding 15,000 gauss. Other watch manufacturers can also submit their timepieces for this certification. Furthermore, in addition to this new standard, OMEGA's product lineup this year—featuring commemorative models tied to the upcoming "007" film and the Olympics—is more than just "ambitious." Let's dive into these exciting new releases.
Special James Bond Model for the "007" Film, Releasing in December
The latest installment in the "007" film series, "Spectre," is set for release at the end of the year. OMEGA timepieces have long been a fixture alongside James Bond on the silver screen.
The "Seamaster Aqua Terra Master Co-Axial" appears as a special Bond edition. This new release is a limited model prepared for the premiere of "Spectre." It features a striking blue dial and a distinctive yellow seconds hand, tipped with a decorative element inspired by the Bond family crest. The accompanying special presentation box is also adorned with the same crest motif. Moreover, equipped with OMEGA's proprietary "Master Co-Axial" caliber for magnetic resistance, its high performance is guaranteed. In a witty nod to 007, this particular model boasts magnetic resistance exceeding 15,007 gauss and is limited to exactly 15,007 pieces worldwide. This is a highly anticipated limited edition.

A Tribute to the Achievement That Saved Apollo 13
In 1970, an explosion occurred aboard Apollo 13 during its mission to the moon. The crew's safe return to Earth seemed impossible. However, thanks to the calm coordination of the ground crew and a precisely timed 14-second engine burn by the astronauts, they were safely brought back. This special limited edition commemorates the 45th anniversary of the "Snoopy Award" presented to OMEGA in 1970, recognizing the vital role of the "Moonwatch" in the Apollo 13 crisis.
The charming white dial features an image of Snoopy and the memorable quote from the film "Apollo 13": "FAILURE IS NOT AN OPTION." The scale for the first 14 seconds is designed like a comic strip panel, accompanied by the impactful phrase, "What could be done in 14 seconds?" On the dark blue enameled case back, Snoopy, dressed as an astronaut, appears to float in space. This exceptionally humorous and original "Speedmaster" is poised to generate significant buzz.
