VACHERON CONSTANTIN

A History Spanning Two and a Half Centuries, Still Evolving

Focus on Retro-Chic Harmony

In 1755, around the mid-Edo period in Japan, Vacheron Constantin was born. By 2015, its history had surpassed two and a half centuries by more than a decade. Underpinning this long history is an immense archive accumulated over time. As a commemorative milestone, the newly launched "Harmony" collection draws inspiration from a cushion-shaped chronograph introduced in 1928. Its high-caliber execution has captured the attention of fans.

Harmony Chronograph Tourbillon

Harmony Chronograph Tourbillon
A Limited Edition Complication Coveted by Connoisseurs

Celebrating its 260th anniversary, "Harmony" features a total of seven models, including a split-seconds chronograph and a dual-time display. Particularly noteworthy is this tourbillon model, limited to just 26 pieces worldwide. The hand-wound Caliber 3200 movement it houses features a tourbillon with the brand's Maltese cross emblem in its carriage at the 12 o'clock position.

Integrating a chronograph further elevates the complexity of development and manufacturing. The movement's bridges are adorned with arabesque engravings known as "fullリザンヌ" (full Côtes de Genève), showcasing artistic beauty. The Art Deco-inspired cushion case harmonizes exquisitely with the complications and decorative techniques, resulting in a finish befitting a precious limited edition.

Harmony Chronograph

Harmony Chronograph
A Chronograph Evoking a Revival of Retro Charm

Chronographs from the 1920s and 1930s typically featured a single button for start, stop, and reset operations, lacking a separate reset pusher. This model is a one-push chronograph, crafted in an 18K pink gold case to exude a rich vintage feel. It is a rare timepiece, limited to 260 units worldwide.

Chronographs from the era when the original models were released were often owned by physicians. The scale on the outer edge of the dial is equipped with a pulsometer, a scale less commonly found on modern chronographs. While the exterior emphasizes a retro aesthetic, the movement is state-of-the-art, featuring Vacheron Constantin's renowned Caliber 3300, ensuring precision and reliability. It is truly a watch where past and present converge.

Métiers d’Art Mechanical Gravé

Métiers d’Art Mechanical Gravé
A Model of Delicate and Precise Engraving

Rather than a watch with engraving, "Métiers d’Art" compels one to describe it as sculpture using a watch as its medium. The case back and dial are see-through, revealing the bridges and plates of Vacheron Constantin's most basic and classic Caliber 4400, extensively adorned with engraving.

The beauty of the floral motif engraving is beyond compare. While the depth of the carving is controlled to maintain structural integrity, it must be rendered clearly enough for the viewer to recognize the pattern, showcasing the remarkable skill of the artisan. Completed over more than ten days of work, this is truly a piece that can be called a work of art.

Case: 950 Platinum
Diameter: 39mm
Thickness: 8.5mm
Movement: Manual-winding (Cal. 4400/1)
Strap: Alligator
Water Resistance: 3 bar
Release: Scheduled for June
Estimated Price (excl. tax): 9.35 million JPY (exclusive to Vacheron Constantin boutiques)
