A Special Model Born from a Spirit of Reconstruction

Introducing a new collaboration watch with the Japan Air Self-Defense Force's aerial acrobatics team, "Blue Impulse."

A Deep, Beautiful Blue Dial

In 2010, "Blue Impulse," Japan's world-renowned aerial acrobatics team and part of the Japan Air Self-Defense Force, celebrated its 50th anniversary. In late March 2013, they finally returned to their home base, Matsushima Air Base, which had been severely damaged by the tsunami during the Great East Japan Earthquake. With "Challenge for the Creation" as their team slogan, they deliver messages of reconstruction nationwide through their spectacular aerial maneuvers alongside the Japanese-made T-4 training jet.

Now, a new collaboration model has arrived fromBREITLINGand them. This model features a deep, beautiful blue dial and a bezel with numbers molded in blue rubber, creating a striking impression. The prestigious team emblem adorns the 12 o'clock position, while the case back is engraved with the T-4 aircraft and the words "MATSUSHIMA AIR BASE." This is a special timepiece, limited to 400 units in Japan.

Also available is a collaboration model with the Italian Air Force's aerial acrobatics team "Frecce Tricolori," the creators of the "Chronomat," based on the same Chronomat 44. Furthermore, a limited edition collaboration model with the French Air Force's aerial acrobatics team "Patrouille de France," which has produced many members of Breitling's aerial acrobatics team, was released in September during their visit to Fukushima.
