A Spirit of Pursuing Innovation
BreguetBaselworld 2013The new "Classique Chronométrie 7727," announced at Baselworld 2013, is an ultra-high precision model featuring a silicon double balance spring and an inline Swiss lever escapement ticking at an ultra-high beat of 20 vibrations per second (10Hz), or 72,000 vibrations per hour. Additionally, it is equipped with a "magnetic pivot mechanism" for the escapement's balance staff bearing, which stabilizes its position and enables higher precision operation.
Remarkably, the average daily rate is within -1 to +3 seconds, and the positional variation over 24 hours in six positions is within -2 to +4 seconds. This far surpasses the -4 to +6 seconds daily rate of a COSC-certified chronometer.
At the upper left of the small seconds subdial at 12 o'clock, there is a small subdial and hand that completes a rotation every two seconds. This rapidly rotating element serves to highlight the watch's ultra-high beat capability.
