VACHERON CONSTANTIN has introduced the "Traditionnelle Complete Calendar Collection Excellence Platine," a platinum iteration of its esteemed Traditionnelle moon phase watch, limited to 100 pieces worldwide. This rare model features platinum for its case, dial, and bracelet.

A Cherished Classical Layout with the Date on the Dial's Periphery

Announced as a "Pre-SIHH" event ahead of the January 2018 SIHH, the "Traditionnelle Complete Calendar Collection Excellence Platine" focuses on the complete calendar, a hallmark of mechanical complications.

Since 2006, VACHERON CONSTANTIN has released limited editions under the "Collection Excellence Platine" designation.

Its defining characteristic is the use of 950 platinum not only for the case but also for the sandblasted dial, which is subtly marked with a "Pt950" secret signature between 4 and 5 o'clock, the folding clasp, and even the stitching on the dark blue alligator leather strap.

The simple time display, rendered by faceted gold hands and indices, harmonizes with design elements such as the date display, marked by blue Arabic numerals. The platinum moon phase disc, shaped like a moon, adds a distinctive touch.

While the day and month are shown in windows, the date is indicated by a slender blue central hand, adopting a classic layout with the date positioned on the dial's periphery.

The self-winding movement offers a power reserve of 40 hours. Unlike simpler mechanisms that require correction every three years, the movement in this model boasts an accuracy that necessitates adjustment only once every 122 years.
