An Active Look with a Black Dial
The Speake-Marin "Resilience Black" is a model that epitomizes basic functions and classic style.
The new "Resilience Black" features striking lug design and spade hands. It also incorporates a stepped bezel, reminiscent of antique timepieces. This design sense is truly characteristic of someone with experience in restoring historical watches.
The previous "Resilience" model featured a white dial within the same case design. It presented a classic aesthetic with Roman numerals, a railway minute track, and blued steel hands.
The new "Resilience Black" adopts a black dial. It uses Arabic numerals with a unique, slender font. The hands remain the same but are finished in gold. The contrast between black and gold creates a look that shifts from classic to sporty, yet retains a retro charm.

Unique Model with Only Seconds and Hour Hands Gets a New Face
The new "Versida" boasts a striking design that is unforgettable at first glance.
The central hand, which displays the time, significantly influences its design. Looking at the photo, the entire blue hand, extending from the center to the opposite side of the dial, appears to rotate. In reality, two components are set at its center. One is the large hour hand that extends across the dial. The red tip of the hand (the one on the right in the photo) indicates the "hour" and the "minute" in five-minute increments. The part extending in the opposite direction (the hand on the left in the photo) is a counterweight. There is no seconds hand.
However, the brand logo positioned at the center of the hands completes one rotation every minute, providing a delightful visual for the owner.
If you are looking for a watch with a unique character and a simple mechanism, this timepiece is highly recommended.

PETER SPEAKE-MARIN
A Leading Example of a Small-Scale Production Workshop
Speake-Marin is a watch brand created in the workshop headed by British watchmaker Peter Speake-Marin in Switzerland. Although the brand was established in 2002, Speake-Marin began restoring antique clocks in the 1980s and started manufacturing watches as an independent watchmaker in Switzerland in 1996. He is known among watch enthusiasts as a master of complex watchmaking. He consistently uses distinctive, artistically spoke-shaped gears in key areas, which have now become the brand's logo and a design motif on the dial.
During SIHH, individual exhibitions were held within Geneva. This time, the focus is on a complete reimagining of the basic models. New design elements have been infused into classical models reminiscent of old marine chronometers, and into models featuring a unique timekeeping system based on the brand's logo.
