Perrelet, a Watch Brand Inheriting the Tradition of Automatic Winding, Celebrates its 20th Anniversary
A Limited Edition of the Impressive "First Class" Timepiece Unveiled
Watch brand Perrelet unveiled the "First Class Double Rotor" at Baselworld, a new model focusing on the double rotor system, which is the origin of the brand. This year marks the 20th anniversary of the double rotor's creation in 1995. Perrelet, which inherits the history of innovation in watchmaking of the 18th and 19th centuries, was founded by Abraham-Louis Perrelet. He is also known for his contributions to the invention of the automatic watch. Following this DNA, all Perrelet watches are automatic.

Rotors Equipped on Both Front and Back of the Dial
When looking at this timepiece, the eye is immediately drawn to the rotor gently rotating in the center. The skeletonized rose gold rotor is adorned with Côtes de Genève and engraved with "20 YEARS DOUBLE ROTOR."
Furthermore, the dial where the rotor overlaps is also skeletonized, revealing the intricate internal mechanism. This elaborate display of the movement is precisely what Perrelet excels at.
There is one rotor on the front of this dial, and another on the back of the movement. These two rotors efficiently wind the mainspring in the barrel. On the case side, Perrelet's characteristic vertical engraved graphic pattern adds a sense of substance. This commemorative limited edition is available in two case materials: rose gold and stainless steel.

Petal-Shaped Rotor Moves with Wrist Movements
The name "Amytis" in the model name is inspired by the legendary Hanging Gardens of Babylon, built around 600 BC during the ancient Mesopotamian era. Said to have been created for Queen Amytis of that time, it was considered a place of abundance and great beauty, passed down through legend. The new "Diamond Flower Amytis" collection from Perrelet pays homage to this beautiful hanging garden, developed as a model that evokes the dignity and beauty of Queen Amytis of Babylon.
Developed as a ladies' model, the "Diamond Flower Amytis" collection features a petal-shaped rotor on the dial side that moves with the wrist, reminiscent of the Hanging Gardens of Babylon. The movement is equipped with the in-house Cal. P-181, resulting in a model that combines not only beauty but also functionality.
Three variations are available. All cases are made of stainless steel, with dials in black mother-of-pearl or white mother-of-pearl. Both of these models feature a petal-shaped rotor set with diamonds. As a rare model, a diamond bezel version is also offered, with dials in dark gray and white mother-of-pearl, and a rotor set with white mother-of-pearl and diamonds. All models are gorgeous and distinctive.
