Highlights of "Cartier, Crystallization of Time"
The exquisite jewelry of Cartier, born from the fusion of minerals formed over millennia and designs inspired by global cultures and natural elements, represents a microcosm of the world—a timeless dialogue with the Earth and its civilizations.
Since its first major exhibition in Paris in 1989, Cartier's works have been displayed in 33 prestigious art museums and institutions worldwide, underscoring their status as true works of art, far beyond mere adornment.
"Cartier, Crystallization of Time" illuminates the Maison's modern creations from the 1970s onward, highlighting their distinctiveness, contemporaneity, and innovation alongside its rich history. The exhibition unfolds through three thematic sections—"Color and Materials," "Form and Design," and "Universal Curiosity"—all centered around the concept of "time," with an introductory chapter, "The Interlude of Time," setting the stage.
The "Interlude of Time" features Mystery Clocks and Prism Clocks, iconic symbols of Cartier's timeless style, serving as an exploration of the concept of time itself. The breathtaking display of Mystery Clocks, renowned for their technical ingenuity and originality, offers a sensation of traveling through time from the very beginning of the exhibition.
