OMEGA's Masterpiece Seamaster 300 Reborn

Collecting vintage timepieces from bygone eras is one of the great pleasures of watch collecting, but finding a piece that truly captures one's eye can be a challenge. Yet, what if such a masterpiece could be revived with the latest technology? OMEGA's latest model, which makes this seemingly wishful thinking a reality, is the ultimate gift for watch enthusiasts.

Featuring Ceramic Parts and the Latest Movement

The collection of wristwatches from the 1900s to the 1970s, known as antique or vintage watches, is a well-established major genre within the watch hobby. However, the number of watches in good condition is decreasing year by year, and prices are on the rise. In this context, the "Seamaster 300 Master Co-Axial," released in 2014, is a masterpiece that will delight both fans of modern watches and those who appreciate historical timepieces.

Its appearance is a faithful revival of OMEGA's 1957 dive watch, the "Seamaster 300." While retaining OMEGA's traditional diver's style and featuring vintage-toned indices, the bezel is made of ceramic for exceptional durability. Furthermore, it is equipped with OMEGA's proprietary Co-Axial escapement, known for its long service intervals, and a newly developed in-house movement boasting magnetic resistance of over 15,000 gauss. This is a true realization of "the fusion of tradition and cutting-edge technology."

The History of the Seamaster 300

The original "Seamaster 300" featured a style with Arabic numerals at key positions and wedge-shaped indices elsewhere, along with Broad Arrow hands. This style has long been a hallmark of OMEGA's diver's models. The latest model faithfully adheres to the original in its details, such as the deliberate omission of a date window and the textured bezel sides.
